About Poetry in Motion
Poetry in Motion, owned and operated by Karen Major, was established in 1999.
The business began casually, but with Karen’s resolute dedication to her craft, Poetry in Motion quickly blossomed into a first class catering business.
Karen has 15 years of catering and food preparation experience, and she loves to be creative. She cooks 95 percent of the food for every event, using the freshest and finest ingredients from local growers and organic providers whenever possible.
Says Karen, “I love what I do and it reflects in what I cook.” She has cooked foods in numerous ethnic styles, but if you have items on your menu that Karen hasn’t made before, she will research and practice the style to your satisfaction.
Poetry in Motion employs a dedicated and coordinated team that works well together, ensuring a flawless event every time. In action, they are a living example of “poetry in motion”!
About Karen Major
Karen is grateful and blessed to do what she truly loves to do — cooking. She also especially enjoys the interaction and camaraderie she has with her customers. After catering a couple’s wedding, she may also cater a baby shower and several birthday parties for the same couple. The repeat business often leads to her customers becoming members of her extended family, and Karen finds the entire process heart-warming and enriching. Karen’s philosophy is simple… “Treat people the way you would want to be treated in all situations of life,” and she strives to live this principle every day. Karen is married and the mother of two wonderful sons.
